Josie Porter is a gut health specialist dietitian. She has a wealth of experience in managing a range of troublesome gut symptoms, including but not limited to bloating, constipation, loose stools, and conditions such as IBS and SIBO. Josie is specifically trained in the use of low FODMAP diets to help clients improve their gut symptom management and quality of life.
As well as supporting those with difficult gut symptoms, she frequently supports clients in achieving sustainable weight loss (inclusive of all foods and drinks), navigating polycystic ovary syndrome and overcoming disordered eating patterns. As a result of studying sports nutrition as part of her postgraduate degree, she also supports recreational athletes in optimising their performance, recovery and body composition goals (i.e. muscle gain and fat loss).
Following a progressive career in weight management at some of London’s top trusts, she moved on to work in health technology as a senior dietitian supporting individuals on a wider scale with safe and effective intermittent fasting.
Josie’s aptitude lies in her ability to translate the latest developments in health and nutrition science into practical, actionable advice. Her professional journey has also seen her presenting at research conferences, as well as making regular contributions to health and science content.
At the core of Josie’s mission is a commitment to empowering individuals through nutrition and healing their relationship with food. Her aspiration is to support others on their journey to achieving better health and feeling confident in their own skin.
