The ADDapt Trial: Do you have active Crohn’s disease and want to try a novel research diet?

Back

My team at King’s College London are investigating how diet can be used to manage active flares of Crohn’s disease.

We have designed a new diet and are looking to test whether it can reduce gut inflammation. We’re looking for willing volunteers with active Crohn’s disease to try the diet for 8 weeks and to have their gut inflammation, gut bacteria and gut leakiness tested before and after the diet. You can live anywhere in the UK.

The 8-week study involves:

  • 2 visits (both can be done from home or face-to-face)

  • Following the ADDapt diet for 8 weeks

  • Eating snacks provided

  • Providing stool samples (can be done from home)

  • Reimbursement for your time

Interested and want to see if you are eligible? Email [email protected]

Participants will receive up to £300 compensation for your time on completion of the study.
