Sandy Soni

Sandy Soni is a HCPC registered dietitian with over 17 years experience specialising in gut health. She has helped people with a range of complex gastroenterology conditions and works in a busy digestive disease unit at a leading teaching hospital. Living with coeliac disease herself, she has a great understanding of the impact of dietary restrictions and how to make changes towards eating behaviours, tailoring meals to a budget and adapting cooking methods.

She specialises in helping people with coeliac disease, IBD and is a specialist in the use of low FODMAP diets to help manage IBS. She likes to use a friendly, practical approach to help develop positive and sustainable changes for her clients.

She has worked as a Macmillan dietitian in oncology for 10 years and has experience of helping patients optimise their nutrition through surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatments. Alongside clinical work, Sandy has taken part in a number of other activities including delivering cooking classes for Macmillan patients and adapting recipes for patients with swallowing and taste difficulties. She writes articles for dietitian magazines, has participated in podcasts related to gut health and takes part in the Coeliac UK annual research conference.

Sandy is passionate about nutrition and well-being and is a strong believer that good nutrition improves both your body and state of mind.
